But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you have been saved. Eph 2:4-5
It seems that one of the hardest lessons to learn about Mercy is that we need to give it as well as receive it. This is especially hard for children as sometimes the emotions are bigger when we own them and seen as smaller (or the actual size) when we see them in others. This means that we expect or want more mercy than we are able to give.
If you attended the Quo Vadis event, you saw first-hand how God’s mercy is at work in our parish. I think we would all agree that God loves us, He can make good out of all things, and that we can trust Him. A few tears were shed that night when we realized the depth of His mercy on some of the witnesses. I have no doubt God is doing great things at Sacred Heart of Jesus.
There has been a change in the calendar for the next school year as this event will continue – there will not be school on the day after, Monday, April 27.
It is that time of year, when we start hearing about staff changes at SHOJ. I am excited to announce that John Kyle will be joining Lori Schierts in our counseling department. She is cutting back on some school time to be a grandma. We all know her love and commitment for SHOJ and how she will ensure that partnering with John will be a great solution.
